This is a non-profit ministry of Christ Church United Methodist Church that focuses on repairing homes for those in need, the elderly, and veterans.

Each year Discovery Service Projects does home repairs mostly in response to natural disasters in the United States. We have worked in Louisiana, Mississippi, North & South Carolina, Maryland, New York. Building skills are not required since there are many jobs like spackling, painting, cleaning, being a helper on the site.
Small teams go into a home to do specific repairs and their presence offers hope to the family that has endured an
extreme disruption in their lives.
Volunteers provide their own transportation to the site and expenses are low because housing and meals are in a local church.
HONOR Project 2020 Covid-19 Relief
Our first project is in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
- We helped a woman in Philadelphia sustain her small business.
- We sent funds to Ramon Celis in Cancun, Mexico, a pastor that we have worked with for over 30 years. Jobs for many residents are tied to the tourist industry and they now have no income or government support. Our initial contribution provided food bags to families and assisted a widow with three children and no work.
- We sent funds to a children’s home in Honduras where we have worked for many years.
- We distributed grocery store gift cards through the Zion Baptist Church in Ambler, PA.
